Behavior Therapy of Florida Inc
Because every child can Learn and Thrive
About us
Behavior Therapy of Florida Inc is an organization committed to providing high-quality therapy services based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), primarily for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Our mission is to support each child’s overall development by helping them acquire functional skills, improve communication, increase independence, and reduce behaviors that interfere with their quality of life.
We create personalized intervention plans, based on detailed assessments and updated regularly to reflect each individual’s progress. Our professional team is composed of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), all working collaboratively with families to ensure effective and continuous support.
We provide services in a variety of settings—including home, school, or community environments—adapting to the unique needs of each child.
At Behavior Therapy of Florida Inc, we believe that with the right tools and compassionate guidance, every child has the potential to learn, make progress, and thrive.
What is ABA Therapy ?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science-based approach that focuses on understanding and improving behaviors. It uses proven strategies to teach meaningful skills like communication, social interaction, daily routines, and reducing behaviors that may interfere with learning. ABA therapy is highly individualized, meaning each plan is created specifically for your child’s strengths, needs, and goals. At its core, ABA helps children learn how to learn, promoting independence and confidence over time.
How can ABA Therapy help my child?
ABA can support children in developing essential life skills—everything from making eye contact to using words, following directions, or participating in group settings. For children with developmental delays or autism, ABA helps increase helpful behaviors and reduce those that may create barriers in school, home, or social environments. Progress is data-driven and tracked consistently to ensure each child moves forward at their own pace. Most importantly, ABA creates opportunities for success, growth, and joy in everyday life.
Where can my child receive ABA Therapy?
ABA therapy can happen in the place where it matters most—your child’s daily environment. We provide services:
At Home: In your child’s natural setting, helping them learn where they feel most secure.
At School: In coordination with teachers and IEP teams for academic success.
In the Community: Parks, stores, or other public spaces to practice real-world social and safety skills.
Our flexible model ensures therapy meets your child where they are—literally and developmentally.
Please, tell me about the process
Getting started with ABA therapy is simple and supported every step of the way:
Initial Intake Process – We begin with an intake process to gather information about you and your child, insurance coverage and the required documentation to get services started smoothly.
Once we have the necessary information, we submit a request for authorization to your insurance provider. This approval is required before moving forward with the assessment.
Assessment – A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts a formal evaluation to understand strengths and needs and create a personalized behavior treatment plan with specific goals and strategies.
Therapy Begins – This plan is then submitted to your insurance provider for review and approval. Once the plan is authorized, we can begin delivering direct therapy services. Trained therapists begin working directly with your child, often several hours a week.
Family Training & Support – We involve and guide caregivers to apply strategies across all areas of life.
Ongoing Progress Reviews – Data is reviewed regularly and the plan is adjusted as your child grows.
